The George S. Fegg and Lydia A. Hano

In 1873, a severe storm sank several ships off East Point. Two schooners, The George S. Fegg  and the Lydia A. Hano were wrecked. Luckily, all on board both ships were able to make it to shore and survive. Unfortunately, four other ships were lost in the same year off the point. Their names are still unknown, as are the names of those who perished. It's believed that two of the ships were American and the other two were French.
