The house on 21 Beach Ave, was built before 1880 by Jim Bushey. He was in possession of one of the ten original farms in 1835.

The home located on 210 Main St, was the cottage that was attached to the Lighthouse, which was built in 1880. It was built for the first Lighthouse keeper, Angus MacDonald. A new house was built for the Lighthouse keeper before 1956 and the old cottage was hauled to the property it sits on now.

The house on 22 Church Ave was built in 1898, by the architect and contractor Billy Dingwell, and was originally built for John McQuaid a Tailor in Souris.

The Former Public School was built around 1900 for the Souris School District. It was intended to combine the educational services by the two exstiting schools, the Grammer school on Chapel Ave and the Colville school on Church Ave. The first floor was used to teach the lower classes, consisting on two classrooms, and the second floor was used to teach up to grade 10, consisting of three classrooms. The 1920's and 30's the Souris Cadet Corps No 255 used it for a rifle range for small arms training. Each classroom had a coal burning stove at the front of the room. In May 1954, the school was damaged by a fire and repairs were made. In 1955 grades 9 and 10 classes moved to the new high school later to become the Souris Regional High School, then in Feb, 1968 the school closes it's doors when the new Souris Consolidated School was opened. The school board sold the home and was later used for a restaurant and then an Ultramar.

The home on 26 Chapel Ave, was built in 1863 for Dr. Ephraim Muttart, and he had an office on the first floor.

The house on 3 Church Ave, was built around 1900, by John T. Garrett. Known to many as the "Garrett House", it was the Royal Canadian Mounted Police station at one point.

The house on 3 Columbia St, was built after 1880 by Edward Paquet. Many families have occupied this home for many years, and still today.

The house on 3 Sterns Ave, was built after 1880, by Laughlin MacDonald who lived there. In 1953 the Souris Credit Union office originated from that home, office hours were from early morning until night.
