Ultimately, there was one major shift in the early 1900’s that changed everything. It wasn’t the invention of automobiles or engines- it was their availability to the masses that was the real innovation. Engines would soon power boats, tractors, trucks, and eventually even trains. New vehicles would throw the doors to the community wide open; it was like the train coming to town, times ten. But it would take some time.
