This is a photo of Ramsay's General store in North River. It was located on the corner of the North Yorke River Road and Lakeview Drive. Donald Ramsay ran the general store in North River for approximately seventeen years during the mid 1900's

Richard Leonard
Richard Leonard was the son of William Leonard who immigrated to Cornwall around 1820. Richard's grandson, Louis MacDonald, died only a few years ago. Louis was very involved in the community of Cornwall, and was known to have a great knowledge of the history of the community. His daughter still resides on the Leonard homestead.

Sarah Jane Kellow
Sarah Jane Kellow was the last surviving member of the Kellow family. The Kellows came to Cornwall from Cornwall, England in the early 1800's and were active members of the Methodist Church. Some members of the Kellow family are burried in the United Church cemetery.

This map of southern Lot 32 is dated at 1825. The shipyard was located close to Primrose Point. It is interesting to note the names of the early settlers in the area as well.
