Veteran's Memorial Gardens

In 2001 the Veteran's Memorial Gardens was unveiled so that the memory and sacrifices of the fallen soldiers would always be remembered. Over 1800 names are on the Memorial, including those who lost their lives during battle as well as veterans who returned home. The Gardens is located between School Street and Walker Drive, just behind the Confederation Trail that runs through Kensington. The Gardens also feature picnic tables and benches for the public to enjoy. The Memorial serves as a permanent reminder for years to come of the huge sacrifice that was made for our freedom.[i]
