Horton's General Store
Horton's General Store
Charles and Fern Horton stand outside of their Murray River general store with a representative of a flour company. After the death of Charles in 1958, Fern continued to operate the store on her own; it was unusual for a woman to own and run her own store at the time. Today, it's known as the Old General Store, and is one of the most prominent buildings in the community (although you may not recognize it without the mural).

Hugh's General Store
The original General Store of Silas D. Hugh in Murray Harbour, with Crete Beck. Hugh would later expand the store and build the building that Butler's Clover Farm now operates out of. He sold the original store in 1949; this building was renovated and used as a home in Beach Point, and the other building was used as a turkey shed.
